We require you to follow our pre pinning system for perfect results, here: Curtain Hemming Tutorial. In this system all curtains are pre hung on each window and fully closed. Then the hem line is pinned to your desired length. There are three basic lengths. First and most recommended in 1 inch off the ground. This length with one inch off the ground and allows airflow under the curtain. This is necessary to avoid filtration marks on carpets and on the bottom of the curtain. Second is 1 centimetre of the ground, this length can cause filtration marks and the hem will get dirty quicker due to the limited air flow around the curtain. Finally, there is the flowing length. Where there is just over 1 inch of hem flowing on the floor. The main downside of this style in how dirty the bottom of them hem gets. The curtain will not only filter and dust in the are along with the carpet and create filtration lines or marks, but will pick up any soils on the floor. This style is not recommended.

Shear Curtain Hemming Gold Coast

In this system all curtains are pre hung on each window and fully closed, this is critical for Shear curtains due to the fabric normally used. Shear curtains fabric in normally a loose type of fabric weave. This causes large variance to the hem length in the manufacturing process. These length variations are normally between 10 to 15 cm. If a given customer give us a take up length (for example take up 20cm) then this variance can’t be rectified.
