Ace Clothing Alterations has a unique pining system for Curtain Alterations Service. This pining system requires the customer to pre hang all curtains one each given window to get accurate measurements for the hem of the curtain. Below are the steps required for our system to achieve perfect results. 1. Pre hang all curtains on each window and pin a ticket or small piece of paper on the curtain with it’s location. When recording locations of the curtain do it from the perspective of looking from the inside of the curtain. For example, “Master bedroom north window left hand side”. 2. Now pin all curtains for the style desired, at every corner and around every 10-15 centimetre. There are three basic lengths. First and most recommended in 1 inch off the ground. This length with one inch off the ground and allows airflow under the curtain. This is necessary to avoid filtration marks on carpets and on the bottom of the curtain. Second is 1 centimetre of the ground, this length can cause filtration marks and the hem will get dirty quicker due to the limited air flow around the curtain. Finally, there is the flowing length. Where there is just over 1 inch of hem flowing on the floor. 3. Now bring your curtains in to Ace Clothing Alterations and we’ll hem your curtains to the your desired style or follow the hem style that they were manufactured in. Fowling this system will have your curtain hemmed to a perfect length the first time and give you years of service for you curtains.
